What a year we have come through. Ordinary things we used to do like hugging loved ones, shaking hands, going to school, grabbing dinner at a restaurant and visiting elderly family members became a thing of the past. Add to that upheaval various nations faced increased reckoning with racism and injustice so it also became the year where racial, socioeconomic and health care issues demanded greater attention.
Our meet up on 25th May is on the anniversary of George Floyd’s death and our guest speaker, Earl Lynch MD of the Kairos Experience, will introduce the topic as we explore what impact if any the Black Lives Matter movement has had both nationally and internationally and debate whether organisations that scrapped unconscious bias training were right in saying that it does not work.
Join us to discuss the difference a year makes and reflect on associated activities that have been set in motion as a result.
