Reading Climate Fayre

November 22, 2022 @ 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
A new annual Climate Fayre in the Reading business calendar aimed at helping local organisations address the impact of climate change

Welcome to the very first Reading Climate Fayre. This free event is aimed at all types of businesses, large and small in the Reading and broader Thames Valley region.

In a world that is heating before our very eyes and increasing regulatory pressure doing nothing is not an option for businesses. But as a business leader where do you start?

You may well be determined to take action but there are so many questions you will want answers to:

  • What is the best way your particular business can make a difference?
  • How can you develop a realistic plan and execute it?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Who can help you with this?

What you will learn

The Reading Climate Fayre will provide answers to these questions and many more.

It’s a great opportunity to learn, connect and collaborate – with a mixture of presentations, a panel session and exhibitors providing expertise and solutions that are available today to help you take your first steps on this journey.

The Reading Climate Fayre will cover all these topics through an Education track and Exhibition Area where you can talk to specialists who provide solutions and advice. We have eminent, world-renowned leaders, speaking at the event including:

  • Professor Richard Allan, Professor in Climate Science, Reading University
  • Dr. Maria Carvalho, Head of Climate Economics & Data, NatWest
  • Akhil Handa, Founder & CEO, Earth51
  • Peter Moore, Head of Climate Strategy, Reading Borough Council
  • Tracey Rawling-Church, Co-Chair, Reading Climate Action Network
  • Stuart Clark, Head of Climate Transition, Lombard
  • Mairead Taylor, Director Green & Sustainable Finance, NatWest
  • Charlie Bradshaw, Founder & CEO, Matrix

It would be great if together we could all be part of bringing to life something really important, special and unique…and really make a difference to our town.
