Our programmes enable us to target our resources on key areas of importance, to help local organisations tackle specific challenges.
We have developed our current programmes and initiatives in association with Partners, Supporters and other collaborators. We’re also working together with other organisations to support initiatives that they are leading and are open to additional collaborations in future.
The aim of this programme is to support organisations that are willing to go beyond compliance to fulfil their social purpose. We encourage them to define and live their corporate values, transforming them into action, both within their workplaces and business remit and beyond.
A strong ethical culture, built around core values like respect, compassion, fairness and integrity, provides a solid foundation for workforce wellbeing. If people feel respected and valued at work they will be happier, more engaged, more productive and less likely to leave.
We’re committed to helping Reading-based organisations embed sustainability into what they do and contribute to improving the local and wider environment. We’re doing that by connecting sustainability champions at different organisations to connect and through our tree-planting initiative.
Our Ethics in Education programme is designed to encourage local secondary school and university students to develop their awareness and understanding of business ethics. We hope that getting involved will help participants hone their critical thinking skills and their ability to balance conflicting ethical considerations.
